Who would you listen to?
The scientist
» Is employed by you
» Understands the science
» Makes objective decisions based on evidence
The executive
» Has a financial stake in polluting
» Creates his own evidence
» Thinks the science just gets in the way
Good call. If only everyone in Congress agreed.
Right now, there's a movement to completely ignore established science in favor of business executives and their lobbyists.
Congress is considering blocking the EPA's ability to stem pollution - ignoring established science, even from the government's own, unbiased scientists.
Studies have also proven that investments in clean technology will both protect the public health and create new jobs, generating substantial economic activity.
Why would some in Congress refuse to heed their knowledge - inviting testimony on important issues from, among others, a marketing professor who stated, "I actually try not to learn a lot about climate change?" Is it because they're tight with dirty energy industry executives?
Since they won't listen to scientists, let's make sure they listen to us.

Next question: who would you listen to, a doctor or an executive?
Um, that's not a great idea.
Business lobbyists are attacking science and the public health in order to preserve their personal wealth.
They've cozied up to members of Congress in an effort to strangle the EPA's authority to regulate greenhouse gas pollution, even though new standards would protect our air and water and create 1.4 million jobs - hardly a "job-killer." (Learn more about the business interests who oppose the future.)
Let's show our representatives that the power of money is no match for the power of people.
